The Japanese based automaker Honda has recently released the first images which are previewing the pre-production version of the European CR-V model, ahead of its official debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March.
After launching the new Honda CR-V in the United States in January this year, the car manufacturer decided that time has come to introduce its model into Europe too, and the first step of doing just that has been made ahead of its official debut, by releasing some official images with the European version of the CR-V. The compact vehicle is expected to come with a more aggressive stance compared to the model it’s replacing, along with a bolder front fascia, lower bumpers for the front and the rear ends and new side skirts, which will give the new CR-V a lower ride-height appearance, also contributing to the improved aerodynamics.
Even if Honda has previewed the new generation of the CR-V model in Europe, details about its performance remain unknown until the SUV will be officially presented to the public at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show next month, but even so, rumors say that one of the engine options will be a 1.6 liter four-cylinder diesel engine, which will develop a total output of 118 horsepower. More details on the European spec Honda CR-V will be announced at the Swiss automotive event on the 6th of March.
