Mazda has released the full information on the European version of the 2015 Mazda2 which is getting ready to go on sale soon.
The 2015 Mazda2 is only coming with four Euro 6 compliant engines on the Old Continent, three petrol burners and a diesel, all of them with the Skyactiv technology. The much anticipated 1.5 liter Skyactiv-D is also offered onto the model, fitted with the i-stop idle-stop system and producing 104 HP and 220 Nm of torque. The unit is burning just 3.4 liters of fuel every 100 km and it is emitting 89 g/km of CO2. The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration is made in 10.1 seconds and top speed stands at 178 km/h (110 mph).
The car manufacturer says that all three petrol engines are coming with the same 1.5 liter displacement and they are producing 74 HP, 89 HP and 113 HP, respectively. The latter has been equipped with the i-ELOOP regenerative braking system and it is burning an average of 4.9 liters of fuel every 100 km. The CO2 emissions stand at 115 g/km and power is being sent to the front wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration takes 8.7 seconds and top speed stands at 200 km/h (124 mph).
