Evantra Motors has officially pulled the wraps off its newest creation, the Barchetta, during the Goodwood Revival event.
The brand new Evantra Barchetta is a fresh touch brought to the sports car segment which has a retro inspired styling that some company’s officials say that it comes from the 1950s motorsport with “sleek, sweeping curves and a low profile”. The brand new roadster will be offered in two versions, one with an aluminum body and the other one with a kevlar body. The vehicle will come in right-hand and left-hand drive versions, as the carmaker is saying.
Evantra Motors says that the Barchetta will be produced in just 148 units and each one will be hand-built in Britain, with traditional coach building methods. Power will be provided by a 6.2 liter V8 engine, which will produce a total output of 450 HP (336 kW), sent to the wheels through either a manual or an automatic transmission. Sales of the Evantra Barchetta have begun this weekend and the cheapest version, the one with Kevlar, starts at 125,000 GBP, while the aluminum one is 40,000 GBP more expensive.
