The Renault ZOE electric vehicle has been recently presented at the 36th edition of the Bologna Motor Show, with the vehicle being scheduled to hit the production line in the nearby future.
According to the French based automaker, the Renault ZOE is 4.1 meters long, being actually larger than the current Clio and its dark grille and LED headlights inspired apparently from the DeZir concept, give the vehicle a real presence. The Renault ZOE also has some other interesting details like the multi-layered bumper finished in Blue Chrome and its white and chrome alloy wheels. The panoramic glass roof gives the sensation of an open space and there is enough room in the cabin for four adults, the ZOE even having a decent boot, thanks to the lithium-ion battery pack being hidden inside the chassis so save space.
The French manufacturer says that the Renault ZOE is being powered by an 80 horsepower (60 kW) electric motor with a torque of 222 Nm, available from 0 rpm, which is translated into the 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration time being done in just 8.1 seconds. The ZOE is ideal for driving in the city with constant slowing down and speeding up in traffic, thanks to the brakes which cut in when you take your foot off the throttle.
Renault says that using a higher-voltage fast-charge for the ZOE can give you an additional 37 miles in just 10 minutes, with an 80 percent capacity in 30 minutes. The production version of the Renault ZOE is expected to be priced around 25.000 EUR.
