The upcoming Cadillac CT6 will be offered outside of the U.S. too as this will be arriving on the Old Continent, later on this year.
The newest creation to be signed by Cadillac is called the CT6 and this will be a flagship sedan, positioned above the current CTS. The model in question was initially believed to become a rival for the BMW 7-Series, Audi A8 and Mercedes-Benz S-Class but it seems that this will be positioned between a 5-Series and a 7-Series, an A6 and an A8 and an E-Class and an S-Class, but the company is not ruling out a future model which will be positioned above the CT6.
According to a Cadillac representative, the new CT6 flagship will be offered for sale in Europe too and this will be the second market right after the United States. The model in question should arrive on the Old Continent by the end of this year or even early 2016 and, unlike its U.S. version, it is also expected to pack a diesel engine. Speaking of the engines, the flagship will also get a twin turbo V8 and probably an entry-level V6. Assembly will be made at the Detroit Hamtramck plant, in Michigan, and it will be launched locally in the fourth quarter of 2015. The Cadillac CT6 will be officially presented to the public at the 2015 New York Auto Show, in early April, and more details on it will be announced at the event.
