Lamborghini Gallardo’s successor will be officially presented to the public next year but the press release with some technical info will be released in less than a month.
The announcement has been made by a Lambo representative, who was contacted by inautonews.com, so if you’re excited about the upcoming rear-mid engined, rear-wheel / all-wheel drive supercar coming from Sant’Agata Bolognese, you won’t have to wait long before finding out some interesting details about it.
“The Gallardo follower will be unveiled in 2014 and a first press release will be send out before Christmas”, as the Lamborghini official told us.
Keep in mind that the successor of the Lamborghini Gallardo will be named the Cabrera. This model will be inspired in its design by its larger brother, the Aventador, and it will get a new platform, which will be shared with the upcoming generation of the Audi R8, along with several underpinnings. The two supercars will be completely different, even if they will share some parts. The Lamborghini Cabrera will receive an upgraded 5.2 liter V10 engine under its hood, which is believed to produce approximately 600 HP. More details on the new supercar will be released by Christmas, this year.
