The McLaren P1 will only be available in left-hand drive, as a company spokesman has recently explained to us.
The newest British supercar, which is still undergoing some rigorous testing, the P1, will only hit the market in left-hand drive, which is really a cliché considering the fact that the model is being produced in Britain by British people. The exclusive LFD has been announced by a spokesman within the company, who also confirmed the fact that some wealthy car collectors have already seen the final production version of the supercar. However, the company denied to comment any rumors which were saying that 120 units of the P1 have already been sold and this makes us think that it was more than a rumor.
As a quick reminder, the McLaren P1 is the official successor of the iconic F1 supercar. The new British model will get the same 3.8 liter V8 engine under its hood as the MP4-12C or the 12C Spider, but the version used on the supercar will be tweaked in order to produce an extra 120 HP. Rumors are saying that the McLaren P1 will target the Bugatti Veyron in terms of top speed and it will be the fastest accelerating car in the world. More details on the McLaren P1 will be announced close to its debut.
