The Mercedes-Benz F 015 Luxury in Motion Concept has a good possibility of ending up on European soil too as the company might introduce it at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show too, this March.
Mercedes-Benz has taken a step forward in creating autonomous vehicles with its F 015 Luxury in Motion Concept, which has been officially presented to the public at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show, in Las Vegas, recently. But considering the fact that this is one important model in the company’s future lineup, thanks to the technologies added to it, we might see it at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, too, as a company representative has stated when contacted by the inautonews.com team.
“It’s too early to tell, but it could be a possibility”, said our source when asked whether the one-off model will be brought to the Swiss automotive event.
The Mercedes-Benz F 015 Luxury in Motion Concept is using a plug-in hybrid hydrogen fuel cell electric setup, combining two electric motors for a total of 268 HP (200 kW) and 398 lb-ft of torque. The concept vehicle needs 6.7 seconds to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill and it can go up to an electronically limited top speed of 200 km/h (124 mph). The total range stands at 200 km (124 miles). Its interior design is getting four rotating lounge chairs which will also swing outwards by 30 degrees when the doors are opened and can be placed in a face to face configuration too. For easier access to the cabin, the B pillars have been removed.
