The new generation of the Audi A4 will be introduced later on than the Geneva Motor Show as an official date hasn’t been set yet.
Rumors were saying that the new generation of the Audi A4 should have been offered for sale in the middle of this year and this led to speculations stating that the model will be introduced at the Geneva Motor Show, but this turns out not to be true, as the inautonews.com team has found out, when speaking to an Audi representative, who stated that the new A4 generation will not be introduced at the Swiss automotive event.
“A4 will be later. No date as of yet”, said the company’s official.
The 2016 Audi A4 is still believed to be introduced sometimes this year. The model in question is said to increase in order to house the wider tracks, the longer wheelbase and the new chassis. The boot capacity is rumored to remain the same while the interior design will be completely redesign, getting a minimalistic look, along with the MMI infotainment system, controllable through a touch pad similar to the one offered on the TT. As far as the engine lineup goes, the new Audi A4 is rumored to pack the 1.4L TFSI, the 1.8L TFSI and the 2.0L TFSI with cylinder deactivation technology, along with the 1.6L and 2.0L TDIs and the larger 3.0L TFSI and 3.0L TDI. A plug-in hybrid version is also expected and this might use the same powertrain as the one on the A3 e-tron.
