The impressive Porsche 918 Spyder has been completely sold out ever since last December.
If you were hoping to buy a Porsche 918 Spyder in the near future you will be in for a big disappointment because you will not be able to find a brand new one straight out of the factory, so you will have to turn your head towards the second-hand market. All units of the impressive German hybrid hypercar have been sold out since last December, as this has been confirmed to inautonews.com by a company representative.
“All 918 Spyders have been spoken for… we sold out all of them last December”, said the Porsche official.
The Porsche 918 Spyder is the most powerful production vehicle to be produced by the company. The model has been put together in just 918 units, between 2013 and 2014, and it was designed by Michael Mauer. The supercar was officially presented to the public back in 2013, during the Frankfurt Motor Show, and it is a rival for the Ferrari LaFerrari, created in 499 units, and for the McLaren P1, assembled in 375 units.
Under the hood, the mid-engine, two-seater sports car has a 4.6 liter V8 engine, which is backed up by two electric motors. The total output produced by the assembly stands at 887 HP (661 kW) and 1,275 Nm (940 lb-ft) of torque. From 0 to 100 km/h, the hypercar needs just 2.6 seconds, with the Weissach Package, and it can reach a top speed of 340 km/h (210 mph).
