The German based automaker Volkswagen didn’t deny the development of a Touareg CC when contacted by inautonews.com.
A direct rival to the Mercedes-Benz MLC, to the BMW X6 or even to the Audi Q6 (how strange is that?) is getting ready to hit the market in the following years and this initial rumor was started by the German publication autobild.de. When contacted by inautonews.com, Volkswagen didn’t officially confirm the development of the Touareg CC but it didn’t deny it either which means that the crossover will most likely hit the market in the following years or by 2015, as we previously announced.
Unfortunately we don’t have any more details on the Volkswagen Touareg CC but as a quick reminder we will tell you that the regular version of the crossover has been in production ever since 2002 and the second generation of the model is being offered since 2010. The Volkswagen Touareg, which is related to the Audi Q7 or the Porsche Cayenne, is 4,796 mm long, 1,941 mm wide and 1,709 mm tall, being offered with a choice of six engines, four gasoline burners and two diesels.
