Bugatti is planning to launch an extreme version of the Veyron Super Sport at the next year’s Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
With the competition at Ferrari or McLaren getting ready to launch some new supercars next year, like the successor of the Enzo or the one of the iconic F1, Bugatti couldn’t stay aside and the company is now planning to develop an extreme version of the Veyron Super Sport. Rumor has it that the hyper car will produce a staggering 1,600 horsepower and it’s expected to be officially presented to the public next year in September, during the Frankfurt Motor Show.
The upcoming Bugatti Veyron Super Sport should get an upgraded engine from 8.0 to 9.6 liters and thanks to the 1,600 horsepower (1,177 kW), the model could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h faster than any road legal car out there, in just 1.8 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 463 km/h (288 mph). The extreme Veyron Super Sport will also drop 249 kg (550 lb) from its weight and the starting price of the model might be set at just over 2.5 million USD (1.9m EUR / 1.5m GBP).
