Mercedes-Benz has officially announced its plans of introducing the facelifted version of the A-Class at the upcoming 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
I’m pretty sure all of you know by now that the German based automaker Mercedes-Benz is currently working on an updated version of the A-Class thanks to the numerous spy shots and videos which have hit the web over these past few months but you will now find out when will the official unveil date of the car be. According to the car manufacturer, the 2016 Mercedes-Benz A-Class will be making its public debut at the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed and the fresh A45 AMG will be tacking the famous hill climb.
“The Goodwood Festival of Speed will host the worldwide debut of the new generation A-Class, with the mightiest production hot hatch, the new Mercedes-AMG A 45, in action on the challenging, 1.16-mile Goodwood Hill – its 4MATIC system, agility and compact proportions making it ideally suited to the narrow, twisty route”, says the automaker in the press release.
Despite being described as a “new generation”, the 2016 Mercedes-Benz A-Class will be nothing more than a simple facelift. The model in question is expected to come with a new front bumper, with a slightly updated hood, some modified headlights, tweaks made to the taillights, to the rear bumper and probably some modifications made to the cabin. The engine lineup is expected to be updated too and the range topping A45 AMG will now be more powerful than the current version.
