The facelifted version of the Audi A1, in a five-door body style, has been recently spied on the road, where the model was being tested before its market debut.
The German based automaker Audi is currently working on an upgrade for its smallest model up to date, the A1, as the vehicle is getting ready to receive a facelift and a whole new body style, which will add two doors. Our spy photographers have already managed to catch the facelifted version of the Audi A1 on camera, in a five-door body style, while the model in question was being tested on some public roads.
The prototype of the Audi A1 pictured below is wearing a lot of camouflage but we think that this may actually be the S1, because of its quad exhaust setup. If this turns out to be the new Audi S1, than the model in question is believed to get more than 200 HP from its engine and to come with the permanent Quattro all-wheel drive system. As far as the design tweaks go, we expect some modifications in the lighting units, in the front and rear spoiler, in the wheels and probably some in the cabin. The unveiling of the car is expected to take place next February, during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
