Facelifted Audi S6 undergoes track testing

Our spy photographers caught the venerable Audi S6 undergoing some rigorous and grueling track testing before the mid-life refresher becomes public.

The S6 moniker appeared in 1994, which is 20 years to the spot, so we won’t be surprised if the facelifted A6/S6 will be revealed sometimes this year to celebrate the anniversary. In our spy shots we see the sedan version – though the same changes will surely be applied to the Avant model.

Wearing heavy disguise only in the lower half of the car, we can expect changes to be more on the evolutionary side – in good old Audi fashion. Besides the usual suspects – changes to the grille, front bumper, headlights and taillights, Audi should bring a mildly updated cabin and more tech features for the in-car entertainment craving.

Also, some revisions to the engine line-up could be well in order, just in time for the sales start that should be no later then the first part of 2015.
