The facelifted version of the BMW 5-Series has recently leaked in a magazine print where the model is smiling at us with absolutely no camouflage on its body.
With the German based automaker currently focused on its new 3-Series generation, which has recently received a GT version, with the 3-Series Coupe and Convertible becoming the 4-Series this year and with the M3 and M4 under development, everyone thought that the 5-Series has been forgotten. But BMW has proved once again that it knows what it’s doing and a facelifted version of the 5-Series is what the carmaker is doing these days.
The image posted above has been spotted in a magazine print and rumors are saying that the updated BMW 5-Series will be officially presented to the public during the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show, on the 20th of April. The BMW 5-Series facelift has a restyled front bumper with some chrome touches, new fog lights, optional adaptive LED headlights, modified headlamps, new exhaust pipes, different alloy wheels, updated ConnectedDrive and some other minor tweaks. The mechanicals from the outgoing 5-Series will be carried over to the facelifted one. Additional details on the BMW 5-Series facelift remain unknown for the moment.
