The 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee facelift will still be offered with the same engines as the outgoing version but they are expected to be improved in terms of power, fuel efficiency and CO2 emissions. The petrol options will still be the 3.6 liter V6, which will be offered as an entry-level version, the 5.4 liter HEMI V8 and the top of the line HEMI SRT 6.4 liter V8 unit.
Two V6 diesel engines, with outputs ranging between 190 HP and 250 HP, will also join the lineup, along with the brand new eight-speed transmission with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. The updated Jeep Grand Cherokee will be officially presented to the public during the 2013 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, on the 14th of January.
