Land Rover will officially pull the wraps off the facelifted version of the Discovery next month, during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The upgraded version of the Land Rover Discovery will be officially presented to the public on the 10th of September, in Frankfurt. The model in question will arrive in showrooms over the following months, by the end of the year. Its changes will include the new headlights with LEDs, a look which should bring it closer to the new Range Rover and Range Rover Sport generations. The model will also receive a new front grille, new light graphics at the rear, new side mirrors and more.
The engine lineup on the facelifted Land Rover Discovery is believed to be maintained, but small performance upgrades and economy improvements will be applied. The 5.0 liter V8 petrol engine will be dropped for the new 3.0 liter V6, developed by JLR. The model will also receive the ZF eight-speed transmission, but the new nine-speed automatic gearbox will not become available. Additional details on the Land Rover Discovery facelift are limited for the moment and will be announced during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
