Facelifted Lexus ES debuts in Shanghai image

Lexus has brought the facelifted version of the ES to the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show, where the model has made its premiere.

The 2016 Lexus ES has received a series of updates which are bringing the spindle grille, the new set of headlights with LED projectors, the L-shaped daytime running lights, the slightly revised taillights, chrome rectangular exhaust tips, two new 17-inch alloy wheel designs, four new finishes for the body, the Nightfall Mica, Caviar, Amber and Eminent White Pearl and several other goodies. Customers can also choose between four colors for the seats, which include the Black, Stratus Gray, Flaxen and Parchment.

In the cabin we can also find the choice between four trims, including the Espresso Bird’s Eye Maple with Shimamoku ornamentation and matte Bamboo, Linear Dark Mocha Wood and Illustrious Piano Black, the larger 4.2-inch multi information display, a sports steering wheel and several other tweaks. Some of the safety features found on the car include the Automatic High Beam, the Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert, Pre-Collision System, Brake Assist and so on. Lexus says that the facelifted ES will be offered in China, Taiwan and Russia with a D4 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine, while in the United States this will come with a 2.5 liter four-cylinder hybridized unit. In other markets, the car will get the L4 2.5 liter engine. The 2016 Lexus ES will be arriving in dealership in the second half of this year. More details on it will be announced then.
