The British based automaker McLaren is currently working on a facelifted version of the MP4-12C, which might be unveiled in a couple of months during the Frankfurt Motor Show.
The McLaren MP4-12C has been on sale ever since 2011 and now, two years after its launch, the carmaker is trying to update it. The facelifted version of the model has been recently spied while it was being tested on a public road. The model had some light camouflage on its body, covering the front fascia, so the updates are expected to be a redesigned bumper and probably different headlights.
Changes probably won’t stop here as the British supercar will also receive some updates in the cabin. As for the engine, the 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 will be retained and it will still provide a total output of 592 HP, at 7,000 rpm, and it will have a peak torque of 443 lb-ft, available between 3,000 and 7,000 rpm. The 0 to 62 mph sprint in the MP4-12C takes 3.3 seconds and top speed stands at 205 mph. Additional details on the facelifted version of the McLaren MP4-12C are limited for the moment and will probably be announced in Frankfurt, this September.
