The facelifted version of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class has been recently launched in Malaysia, where the cheapest model will set you back for RM366,888.

The 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class has been recently launched in Malaysia, where the cheapest version, the E 200 Avantgarde, will set you back for RM366,888. The model in question is powered by an 1.8 liter four-cylinder engine, which is rated at 184 HP (135 kW), at 5,250 rpm, and 270 Nm, available at 4,600 rpm. The unit is mated to a 7G-Tronic seven-speed automatic transmission. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 7.9 seconds and top speed stands at 232 km/h.

The E 200 is also offered with a 2.0L inline four-cylinder unit, which is good for 184 HP (135 kW) and 300 Nm of torque, mated to the same 7-speed transmission. Performance is unchanged except for the top speed, which now stands at 233 km/h. The E 250 is the next model in the lineup, with its 1.8L unit, producing 150 HP (204 kW) and 310 Nm of torque. The top of the line version in Malaysia is equipped with a 2.0L unit producing 211 HP (155 kW) and 350 Nm of torque. A new top of the line E 400 will join the lineup later on this year.
