A facelifted version of the Mitsubishi Outlander is expected to be introduced next year, during the 2015 New York Auto Show.
Mitsubishi has failed with the new generation of the Outlander as the old one is preferred over it and a facelift might be just what the doctor ordered in this case to make it more appealing. According to the guys from who have spoken to the company’s North American executive vice president, Don Swearingen, such a model will be introduced at the 2015 New York Auto Show.
The model in question is expected to come with the “classic” modifications, which will include a new front bumper, redesigned headlights, a tweaked front grille, a new rear bumper, different design taillights, some new wheel choices, several modifications made to the cabin and probably some extra horsepower from under the hood.
Besides the facelifted Outlander, the company will also introduce an updated Outlander Sport, which is believed to get additional sound deadening material, a better CVT, a 2.4 liter four-cylinder engine under its hood and probably a plug-in hybrid. More details on the updated Outlander and Outlander Sport are limited at this time and will probably be announced during the automotive event.
