The facelifted version of the Porsche Cayman has been caught on camera at the Nurburgring where it was being tested out.
Porsche is currently working on the development of the facelifted Cayman and this will be coming with some modified panels which should include the different rear bumper and the redesigned front bumper. The headlights and the taillights will be slightly updated too and Porsche will probably add some new wheel designs to complete the makeup. The most significant changes will be made under the hood of the Cayman where the trademark six-cylinder engines will be replaced by four-cylinder units, for the first time ever.
Turbocharged engines which will be added to the facelifted version of the Porsche Cayman should include the 1.6 liter and the 2.0 liter four-cylinder which will also make their way on the Boxster. The top of the line version of the Cayman should be packing more than 300 HP. It is not clear at the moment whether the six-cylinder powertrains will be updated for the 2016 model year, but adding the four-cylinder ones, along with creating vehicles such as the Panamera, the Macan or the Cayenne will definitely gain some criticism from the company’s fans. The updated Cayman should be introduced sometimes next year.
