The Volkswagen Polo GTI facelift has been officially unveiled as the model in question will be making its public debut next month, at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
The newest hot hatch to enter the Volkswagen lineup is aimed towards the B-segment and it is the facelifted version of the Polo GTI. The model in question is looking instantly recognizable and it is now getting a new sporty front bumper, a new rear bumper, honeycomb grille inserts, red accents, dual exhaust system and some other tweaks to help it stand out from a crowd.
Volkswagen says that the same sporty styling is being continued in the cabin too where now we can find features such as the sport seats with plaid upholstery, the flat bottomed steering wheel, the gloss black accents, the red contrast stitching and so on.
The most important part of the model is found under its hood where the 1.8 liter four-cylinder engine is resting. The unit is capable of producing 192 HP (141 kW) and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque, enough for a 0 to 100 km/h sprint made in 6.7 seconds and a top speed of 236 km/h (148 mph). The engine can be connected to a 6-speed manual or to a DSG transmission.
