The Ferrari F40 from the Fast N’ Loud reality show is currently looking for a new owner and it will be auctioned at the Barrett Jackson.
If you’re a classic car collector or a wealthy man with taste in cars than the Ferrari F40 definitely needs to sit in your garage only for that impressive shape and powerful engine and let’s not even get started on the technology used to create it, more than 20 years ago. One unit of the Ferrari F40, which appeared on a controversial episode of the Fast N’ Loud reality show, was bought by the Gas Monkey Garage crew and this is now available on the market, being expected to fetch approximately 900,000 USD at the Barrett Jackson auction.
Whether or not the Ferrari F40 in question will be sold for those money it remains to be seen, but in the meantime we can refresh your memory and tell you that the supercar has been in production between 1987 and 1992 and just 1,315 units have been assembled in Maranello. The F40 was being offered in a two-door coupe body style, with a mid engine and rear-wheel drive layout. Power was being provided by a 2.9 liter V8 turbocharged engine, which was good for 471 HP (352 kW), at 7,000 rpm, enough for a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint made in 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 320 km/h (200 mph). This was the first road going vehicle to brake the 200 mph speed barrier.
