A faster example of the recently unveiled Bentley Bentayga is reportedly planned by the carmaker.
Despite the fact that we believed that its official unveil, during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, will be putting an end to reports and rumors, it seems that we have been wrong since an even faster version of it is apparently being planned. We’re talking about a report, signed by Autocar, which is quoting Rolf Frech, the Bentley engineering boss, who says that the engine found under the hood of the luxury cruiser, the Bentayga, is “only at the beginning of its potential” and that “there is a lot more to come”.
The Bentley Bentayga has turned out to be an extremely popular ride, with more than 3,500 pre-orders being received for it and the first example being delivered, probably next year, to Queen Elizabeth II. The starting price of the most powerful and luxurious SUV the world has ever seen starts from 160,200 GBP in the UK and for the same vehicle, Americans will have to pay 229,000 USD. The luxury cruiser has a familiar front fascia and it is bringing a lot of goodies inside it, including the world’s most expensive car optional, a 200,000 euros worth clock. Under its hood, the Bentley Bentayga is making use of a 6.0 liter TSI W12 engine, capable of producing a total of 608 HP (447 kW) and 900 Nm (663 lb-ft) of torque, allowing the model to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4 seconds. The Bentayga has been based on the new Audi Q7.
