Ferrari has released the first teaser image with the so-called 149M Project, which will be officially presented to the public next month, during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
With the 2014th edition of the Geneva Motor Show coming in pretty fast, Ferrari had to prepare a brand new model, considering the fact that last year we have seen the impressive LaFerrari, in its final production form, during the same automotive event, and two years ago, the carmaker has presented us with the F12 Berlinetta. The upcoming Ferrari 149M Project is believed to be actually the facelifted version of the California, which has already been spied while it was being tested.
The 2015 Ferrari California is expected to get a similar look to another front mid-engined supercar, the F12 Berlinetta, and the model will get updated front and rear fascias, modifications made in the cabin and a tweaked engine. Speaking of the engine, the 2015 Ferrari California will receive a 3.8 liter V8, shared with Maserati’s Quattroporte and Ghibli, which should produce a total output of 552 HP (406 kW). Additional details on the facelifted version of the California are limited for the moment and will be announced in Geneva.
