A Ferrari 458 Italia supercar has been recently burned on a motorway in Switzerland for no obvious reason.
We have always said here on inautonews.com that where ever there will be exotic cars there will also be exotic car crashes, but this isn’t the news here because this incident is coming from Switzerland, where a Ferrari 458 Italia decided that the driver is probably hungry and started a barbecue on its rear end. The fire has started for no obvious reason and according to the guys at wreckedexotics.com, the Italian supercar in question was being driven on the A5 motorway in Switzerland at the time. If you have any more details on this incident, please feel free to share.
As a small reminder, the Ferrari 458 Italia is a mid-engined sports car which is replacing the old Ferrari F430. The 458 Italia was officially presented to the public back in 2009, at the Frankfurt Motor Show and it’s powered by a 4.5 liter V8 engine, also shared with Maserati, which is producing a total output of 562 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and it has a peak torque of 540 Nm available at 6,000 rpm. 80 percent of its torque is available from 3,250 rpm. The engine is mated to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission and the Ferrari 458 Italia has been designed by Pininfarina.
