A Ferrari 458 Italia supercar has been recently crashed in Germany after its 52-year old driver has had too many drinks and pushed the gas pedal too hard.
We have always said here on inautonews.com that where ever there will be exotic cars there will also be exotic car crashes and this latest example is coming all the way from Germany, where a Ferrari 458 Italia has definitely seen better days. The 52-year old driver of the Italian supercar managed to do damages of more than 100,000 euros to his ride after driving under the influence and crashing through railings and onto a tramway. Unlike the Ferrari 458 Italia, the man behind the wheel didn’t have any scratch on him after the unfortunate incident.
As a small reminder, the Ferrari 458 Italia is a mid-engined sports car which is replacing the old Ferrari F430. The 458 Italia was officially presented to the public back in 2009, at the Frankfurt Motor Show and it’s powered by a 4.5 liter V8 engine, also shared with Maserati, which is producing a total output of 562 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and it has a peak torque of 540 Nm available at 6,000 rpm. 80 percent of its torque is available from 3,250 rpm. The engine is mated to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission and the Ferrari 458 Italia has been designed by Pininfarina.
