A Ferrari 458 Italia supercar has been recently crashed in Guatemala after its driver fell asleep behind the wheel.
We have always said here on inautonews.com that where ever there will be exotic cars there will also be exotic car crashes and the latest example of such an unfortunate incident is coming all the way from Guatemala, where a Ferrari 458 Italia has definitely seen better days. According to the guys at the driver of the Italian supercar fell asleep on the Highway of San Lucas, in Guatemala City. The 458 Italia has been imported just 4 months before the crash from Italy.
As a quick reminder, the Ferrari 458 Italia is the official successor of the F430. The supercar has been officially presented to the public, in a world premiere, back in 2009, during the Frankfurt Motor Show. The Ferrari 458 Italia is powered by a 4.5 liter V8 engine, which is also shared with Maserati, producing a total output of 562 HP at 9,000 rpm and 540 Nm of torque available at 6,000 rpm. Ferrari says that 80 percent of the torque is coming from 3,250 rpm. The unit is mated to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission, sending power to the rear-wheel drive.
