The driver of a Ferrari 458 Italia has tragically lost his life in a collision with a Hyundai Accent.

A collision between a Ferrari 458 Italia and a Hyundai Accents lead to a life lost. The 21-year old driver of the Italian supercar was killed in the impact and police says that the other man driving under the influence. The South Korean vehicles hit the driver’s door on the Ferrari 458 Italia. The 21-year old driver of the supercar was killed on the spot and the passenger was hospitalized. The driver of the Accent was also critically injured in the crash and he is currently in hospital. The incident took place in Monterey Park, California.

The rear mid-engined and rear-wheel drive supercar has been in production since 2009 and it came as a replacement for the F430. This is offered in two body styles, coupe and convertible, and it has a 4.5 liter V8 engine under its hood, rated at 562 HP (419 kW) at 9,000 rpm and 450 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque, available at 6,000 rpm. The unit is connected to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission, which can also be found, in a different form, on the Mercedes SLS AMG.
