The driver of a Ferrari 458 Italia has managed to crash his ride recently after losing control of the wheel due to excessive speeding.
The Ferrari 458 Italia is now popping into our news more often than before but this is not necessarily a good thing because most of the times the Italian supercar is being crashed. The newest example of an incident involving such a vehicle is coming from China. According to the guys at Wrecked Exotics, the Ferrari 458 Italia in question has been driven fast on the highway and its driver eventually lost control of the wheel. The supercar left the road and was eventually stopped by a fence.
The rear mid-engined, rear-wheel drive supercar has been officially presented to the public back in 2009, as a replacement for the F430. The model in question is currently available in two body styles, 458 Italia (Coupe) and 458 Spider (Roadster). Both of them are taking their power from the same 4.5 liter V8 engine, rated at 562 HP (419 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque. The unit is sending power to the RWD through a 7-speed transmission, allowing the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds before reaching a top speed of 325 km/h (202 mph).
