A limited edition of the Ferrari 458 Italia has been stolen from a dealership in the United Kingdom.
Car thieves aren’t what they used to be and instead of settling to old cars which are easy to steal they have moved on to supercars. The latest example is coming from Surrey, UK, where a limited edition of the Ferrari 458 Italia has been stolen from a dealership. Two men have been filmed while getting into the dealership and loading the Italian supercar onto a truck. The model in question has been covered with a sheet and the thieves disappeared. The limited edition came with an Italian flag racing stripe and with the Italian flag sewn into the seats. Prices for the model have been set at 232, 850 GBP.
As a small reminder, the Ferrari 458 Italia is a mid-engined sports car which is replacing the old Ferrari F430. The 458 Italia was officially presented to the public back in 2009, at the Frankfurt Motor Show and it’s powered by a 4.5 liter V8 engine, also shared with Maserati, which is producing a total output of 562 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and it has a peak torque of 540 Nm available at 6,000 rpm. 80 percent of its torque is available from 3,250 rpm. The engine is mated to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission and the Ferrari 458 Italia has been designed by Pininfarina.
