The Italian supercar manufacturer Ferrari is planning to launch a special edition of the 458 Italia in China.
According to the automaker, the limited edition of the Ferrari 458 Italia, which will be launched in China soon, is coming with a dragon-based stripe, golden wheels, the Chinese characters for “Start” inscribed on the start button, the “20th anniversary special edition” adorns on the dashboard, headrests embroidered in gold and some other interesting things. Under the hood, the Ferrari 458 Italia Chinese Edition isn’t powered by any dragon, pig or rat hybrid but by the same “classic” 4.5 liter V8 engine, which we actually think that they will copy and use it on other vehicles.
As a small reminder, the Ferrari 458 Italia is a mid-engined sports car which is replacing the old Ferrari F430. The 458 Italia was officially presented to the public back in 2009, at the Frankfurt Motor Show and it’s powered by a 4.5 liter V8 engine, also shared with Maserati, which is producing a total output of 562 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and it has a peak torque of 540 Nm available at 6,000 rpm. 80 percent of its torque is available from 3,250 rpm. The engine is mated to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission and the Ferrari 458 Italia has been designed by Pininfarina.
