New spy images with the Ferrari 458’s successor, the so-called 458 M, are popping onto the web.
There is no surprise any more that Ferrari is currently working on a replacement for the current 458 as spy shots with the model have been seen ever since last year and it seems that the development of the supercar is almost complete. If this has caught your attention, don’t be too happy because chances are we will get to see it by the end of this year or even in 2016, as the company will have to make sure that it is worthy of being called a successor for the outgoing supercar.
The model in question is named the Ferrari 458 M and it will be following the same recipe as its smaller brother, the California and the California T, as it seems that upgrading the current one will be the obvious decision to make when you already have a good product. In terms of design, don’t expect anything dramatic but more of an evolutionary look which will still make it instantly recognizable as a 458.
The Italian supercar is believed to get new headlights, new taillights, redesigned front and rear bumpers, a new rear diffuser and several other tweaks which will probably be made to the cabin. The engine is expected to be downsized but this will not be made with the cost of losing power and in fact the updated 458 M will be more powerful than the outgoing vehicle. Rumor has it that this will be officially presented to the public in Geneva, but don’t act too surprised if you won’t see it over there.
