The Italian based automaker Ferrari is planning to introduce a Scuderia version of the 458, which might be unveiled in a couple of months, during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
Last time we have seen the Scuderia name being used on a Ferrari was 6 years ago, when the F430 was the supercar in question, but the model’s replacement, the 458 Italia, might get the same treatment soon. The brand new Ferrari 458 Scuderia is rumored to be the next surprise signed by the Maranello based carmaker and the model in question is expected to be unveiled in Frankfurt, in September.
The Ferrari 458 Scuderia is expected to receive a more aggressive look, larger air intakes in the front bumper, wider air vents at the rear end and some performance tweaks, like the upgraded exhaust system, the recalibrated ECU and more. A weight drop is also expected to be applied, just like Ferrari did with the F430 Scuderia. The total output of the supercar is expected to stand at more than 600 BHP. Additional details on the Ferrari 458 Scuderia are limited for the moment and will probably be announced in Frankfurt.
