Ferrari 458 Speciale gets crashed in Chile image

A Chilean businessman has managed to crash his ride recently in Santiago after not seeing the car in front of him stopping.

Owners of the Ferrari 458 Speciale might feel quite awkward these days considering the fact that the carmaker has replaced the 458 Italia with the brand new 488 GTB which is more powerful than their rides and also more affordable. But since most 458 owners only bought their rides because of the Ferrari logos on the body, they probably don’t care about it at all. This is probably the same case with this Chilean businessman who has managed to crash his impressive 458 Speciale in Santiago recently.

According to the guys from Wrecked Exotics, the owner of the Italian supercar has been driving aggressively and he did not see the car in front of him coming to a stop in the middle of rush hour traffic. The exotic ride has hit it full on and the front end has been damaged with the airbags being deployed. The good news is that no one was injured in this unfortunate incident, the bad news is that we cannot say the same about the red-finished supercar or the driver’s ego.

The Ferrari 458 Speciale is the range topping version of the supercar and this has been introduced back in 2013. The model has the same 4.5 liter V8 engine under its hood but the power has increased to a total of 597 HP (445 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque, compared to the regular 458. The supercar has been officially presented to the public at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
