Under the “#KuchingFastAndFurious” hashtag, locals have taken pictures of this crashed Ferrari 458 Speciale which have gone viral on social media.
The particular example of the impressive Italian supercar has been completely destroyed. The accident has occurred between 10 and 11 am but at the moment we have no clue on how this actually happened. The incident took place in the Kuching district of Sarawak, on a road which is connecting the airport to important residential and commercial districts. The driver of the exotic ride, who is said to be the son of a property tycoon in Malaysia, escaped with no injuries but the supercar has been completely destroyed.
The Ferrari 458 Speciale is the final version of the 458 Italia. The range-topping model was unveiled in 2013, at the Frankfurt Motor Show, and it was followed, a year later, by its convertible version, the 458 Aperta. The 458 Speciale is the spiritual successor of the F430 Scuderia and 360 Challenge and it has been based on the regular version of the 458 Italia. Under its hood we can find the same 4.5 liter naturally aspirated V8 engine, which has been updated and it can produce a total of 605 HP (445 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration is mad in just 3 seconds. The 458 Speciale has been produced in a limited number and all examples have been sold out.
