Ferrari has introduced its brand new 458 Speciale to the United Kingdom, where the supercar has recently made its local debut.
The Ferrari 458 Speciale is trying to attract more customers into the brand as the company has officially pulled the wraps off its body in the United Kingdom recently, following its world debut during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, more than a month ago. The UK unveil of the 458 Speciale took place at a private event held by Ferrari at the Carrs Ferrari and Maserati in Exeter, Devon, and the carmaker has picked 100 Ferrari customers to attend the event.
The Ferrari 458 Speciale is the spiritual successor of the F430 Scuderia and the 360 Challenge and it’s powered by the same 4.5 liter V8 engine from the 458 Italia and 458 Spider, which is producing a total output of 597 HP and 398 lb-ft of torque, in this case, enough for a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint made in 3.0 seconds. One of the most significant changes made to the supercar is the Side Slip Angle Control system, which is constantly analyzing the slip angle, comparing it to some target value levels, like the grip, speed and so on, optimizing the torque distribution between the two rear wheels, improving the handling.
