The Italian based automaker Ferrari is planning to introduce a convertible version of the recently unveiled 458 Speciale, which should be produced in just 458 units.
The development of a Ferrari 458 Speciale Spider isn’t exactly new as reports on the subject have ended up onto the web several times over the past few months and it seems that according to a new one, which has been published by 4WheelsNews, the model in question will be produced in just 458 units. The vehicle will probably not be wearing the Speciale Spider moniker but it will be almost identical to the coupe, except for the roof, of course.
The model in question will also be the fastest convertible coming in from Maranello, at least until the LaFerrari Spider will be hitting the market, and it should be powered by the same 4.5 liter V8 engine, which will be producing a total output of 605 HP (445 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) should take approximately 3 seconds and top speed should stand at 325 km/h (202 mph). More details on the model in question remain unknown for the moment.
