An exotic Ferrari 458 Spider has recently hit another vehicle in London and will need a good and steady hand to return to its former glory.
According to the local automotive media, the woman driver of the other car was actually at fault after she cut the traffic light and hit the white Italian supercar. The impact was brutal and the Ferrari 458 Spider went to the wrong side of the road before coming to a stop. The good news is that everyone is OK after this incident but the bad news is that the owner of the supercar will have to part with his ride for quite some time so that this will be properly repaired.
The Ferrari 458 Spider is the convertible version of the 458 Italia. The model in question has been officially unveiled during the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show and it has an aluminum retractable hardtop which weighs 25 kg (55 lb), less than a soft roof like the one found on its predecessor, the F430 Spider. Power is still being provided by the same 4.5 liter V8 engine found in its solid roof version and top speed has lowered to “just” 320 km/h (199 mph).
