The German aftermarket specialists at Capristo have recently developed a new engine cover for the Ferrari 458 Spider.
Usually when talking about tuners and supercars we are used to seeing wide body kits, large rims, upgraded interiors and more power developed from the engine, but this isn’t the case here and in fact the only upgrade available for this Ferrari 458 Spider, signed by Capristo, a German tuning company, is the new engine cover. According to the aftermarket specialists, led by Antonio Capristo, the Italian supercar in question has received a new engine cover made out of carbon fiber.
Capristo says that the Ferrari 458 Spider’s new engine cover has more vents and this is guaranteeing a better cooling. The engine cover is also getting a centrally length inlaid glass and it can be painted in any color. The upgrade is available for owners of the Italian drop-top for 9,800 euros. The heart of the Ferrari 458 Spider has remained untouched and this means that the 4.5 liter V8 engine is still producing 563 HP (425 kW) and 540 Nm of torque (398 lb-ft), which is enough to allow the model to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.4 seconds before reaching a top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph).
