Ferrari 458 Spider hits pickup truck in California image

A Ferrari 458 Spider has recently hit a pickup truck in California, after its driver probably didn’t maintain the regular stopping distance.

We have always said here on that where ever there will be exotic cars there will also be exotic car crashes and the latest example of such an unfortunate incident is coming all the way from the United States, where a Ferrari 458 Spider has definitely seen better days. According to the guys at the Italian supercar in question has rear ended a pickup truck in California. As a quick reminder, the Ferrari 458 Spider is powered by a 4.5 liter V8 engine, which is producing a total output of 570 HP, at 9,000 rpm, and it has a peak torque of 398 lb-ft, available at 6,000 rpm. The unit is mated to a seven-speed dual clutch F1 transmission, which is allowing the model to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds. The 458 Spider is the convertible version of the 458 Italia and the model has been unveiled back in 2011, during the Frankfurt Motor Show.
