The official Ferrari distributor in Romania, Forza Rossa, has recently launched, on the local auto market, one of the most expected exotic cars, the Ferrari 458 Spider, and even if the model has been priced at 240.000 EUR, the supercar has been sold out.
Romanians apparently haven’t heard anything about the economic crisis and with one of the hottest supercars of the moment being launched on their market, future owners of the 458 Spider have acted like kids in a candy shop, buying all of the units available for Romania. The Ferrari 458 Spider has been priced in the Eastern European country at 237.832 EUR and the Italian based automaker has brought just 12 units of the exotic drop top, not knowing that all of them would be immediately sold out.
The Ferrari 458 Spider comes with the same 4.5 liter V8 engine as the 458 Italia, developing a total output of 570 horsepower at 9.000 rpm and a peak torque of 398 lb-ft available at 6.000 rpm, mated to a dual-clutch seven-speed F1 transmission. Ferrari says that the convertible version can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.4 seconds while its top speed is 198 mph, compared to the Italia’s 200 mph. The 458 Spider is expected to be launched in the United States next year where Americans will have to pay 257.000 USD before they will be able to get their hands on the fastest Ferrari convertible ever.
