The convertible version of the 458 Italia, the Ferrari 458 Spider, has been launched in Malaysia, where the Italian supercar has a base price of RM1.9 million.
The Ferrari 458 Spider is coming with an adjustable electric wind deflector which can improve the car’s aerodynamics and recuse the noise in the cabin even at speeds over 200 km/h, making conversation seem normal. The Italian supercar’s hard top takes about 14 seconds to open or close and the model is sitting on 20-inch wheels, wrapped in 235/35 and 295/35 tires front to rear. The base price for the 458 Spider in Malaysia has been set at RM1.9 million but depending on the customization level, this can even go up to RM2.2 million.
As a quick reminder, the Ferrari 458 Spider has been officially presented to the public last year, during the Frankfurt Motor Show, and it’s powered by a 4.5 liter V8 engine which is developing a total output of 570 horsepower at 9,000 rpm, with a peak torque of 398 lb-ft available at 6,000 rpm. The unit is mated to a dual-clutch seven-speed F1 transmission and the 0 to 62 mph takes just 3.4 seconds. Top speed is 198 mph and the price in the United States has been set at 257,000 USD.
