The successor of the popular Ferrari 458 rear mid-engined, rear-wheel drive supercar has been spied recently with its camouflaged body, on public roads.
Ferrari has introduced the 458 Italia (Coupe) back in 2009 and now, more than 5 years in its production, the company is working on a successor. If you were hoping for an entirely new supercar, you will be disappointed because the carmaker will apply the same recipe as it did to the California and its replacement, the California T. This basically means that it will be more powerful than the current 458 and that the exterior design will be slightly updated, in order to put some space between it and the already available supercar.
In the usual terms, the successor of the Ferrari 458 would be called a mid-life facelift but since it still remains an expensive supercar, we expect the official unveil to happen in front of a lot of camera lenses, during an international automotive event next year, most likely the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, which will be opening its gates in March. The new Ferrari 458M will be competing with the McLaren 650S and with the Lamborghini Huracan, so we expect more than 600 HP and close to 650 HP to come from its engine.
