New renderings with the recently unveiled Ferrari 488 GTB are showing the supercar in the future Spider body style, which is believed to be a few months away.
Just a few days after it has been officially unveiled, over the web at least, the brand new Ferrari 488 GTB is being rendered as a Spider once again. The model in question might be named the 488 GTS and it will be basically a replacement for the current 458 Spider, just like the 488 GTB is succeeding the 458 Italia. The newest supercar to come out of the Maranello facility is not a new generation but a mid-life facelift, which is following the footsteps of the California and California T, bringing a lot of updates.
Speaking of the updates, we have to mention the updated body style, which has received several new lines which will make it instantly recognizable over the “dead” 458. The vehicle is also packing a brand new engine under its hood, which has buried the old 4.5 liter V8. We are talking about the brand new 3.9 liter V8, producing a total of 670 HP (493 kW) at 8,000 rpm and 760 Nm (560 lb-ft) of torque, available from 3,000 rpm. The Ferrari 488 GTB can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3 seconds and it can go all the way up to 330 km/h (205 mph). The supercar will be introduced at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, next month, and more details on it will be announced then.
