And what a launch it was, with the Italian supercar in the center of attention surrounded by models!
Ferrari of Newport Beach, along with Lamborghini and McLaren counterparts, is one of the largest exotic car importers in the world so it comes as no surprise that the newest supercar made in Maranello, the 488 GTB, was recently welcomed over-seas. The model in question is nothing else than the official successor of the 458 Italia and it has been unveiled, in a premiere, just earlier this year. The 488 GTB is a facelifted version of the 458 which has received a lot of styling tweaks which are definitely helping the two differentiate from each other.
The Ferrari 488 GTB has been designed by Centro Stile Ferrari and assembled in Maranello, Italy. It is currently offered in a two-seat coupe body style, with a rear mid-engine and rear-wheel drive layout. The supercar was unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show and it stands at 4,568 mm in length, 1,952 mm in width and 1,213 mm in height, weighing 1,475 kg. The model has dropped the 4.5 liter naturally aspirated engine from the 458 in favor of a new 3.9 liter V8 twin turbo. This is capable of producing a total output of 661 HP (493 kW) and a peak torque of 760 Nm (561 lb-ft), sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual clutch transmission. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration takes just 3.0 seconds and top speed stands at 330 km/h (210 mph).
