The first images with the Ferrari 488 Spider on public roads with no camouflage have been taken in China recently.
Originally unveiled online at the end of July, the newest supercar produced in Maranello, the Ferrari 488 Spider, is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of its first ever live images. The photos posted below have been snapped in China and they are showing the supercar finished in the Bianco Avus paint scheme. Chances are this is a pre-production version of the supercar which will be making its public debut in just a week, during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The Ferrari 488 Spider is the replacement of the 458 Spider and it is basically a 488 GTB with a chopped roof. The vehicle has 25 percent chassis improvement, a retractable hard top which can be folded in 14 seconds, electric glass rear wind stop, blown spoiler, aerodynamic underbody with vortex generators and a new exterior design, placing its predecessor into the shade. The 3.9 liter V8 twin turbo V8 engine has replaced the old 4.5 liter naturally aspirated one and this is capable of putting down 670 HP (492 kW) and 760 Nm (560 lb-ft) of torque, enough for a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration made in 3 seconds and a sprint from 0 to 200 km/h (124 mph) made in 8.7 seconds. Ferrari will be displaying the new 488 GTB during the German automotive even, in just a few days.
