Exotic supercar crashes are getting more and more often and the most recent example of such an unfortunate incident is coming all the way from Brazil. According to the guys from Wrecked Exotics, the Italian supercar in question has been involved in a race with other exotic vehicles, when its driver lost control of the wheel. The Ferrari 550 Maranello ended up looking like this after it has hit a Volkswagen Golf. We’re not sure if anyone was hurt in the incident.
The Ferrari 550 has been produced between 1996 and 2001 and it was offered in two body styles, coupe and convertible. This had a front engine and rear-wheel drive layout, standing in at 4,550 mm long, 1,935 mm wide and 1,277 mm tall. The 1,690 kg weighing supercar had a 5.5 liter V12 engine under its hood, producing a total output of 485 HP (357 kW) and 568 Nm (419 lb-ft) of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint took just over 4 seconds and top speed stood at 320 km/h (199 mph). this has been replaced by the 575M Maranello.
